Ina Shaina Angelika E. Castro was born in the Philippines and moved to Bahrain, and later Qatar, when she was young. As a result, she has been exposed to different lifestyles and cultures and has built a deep understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion. When she was 12, Ina became an active student council leader and led fundraising events to support the education of children in Asia. When she was 18, she was the student council president and led donation programs to help Filipino household workers get essential food and supplies. Ina is also an advocate for accessible healthcare.
