MP Naz Shah on the Politics of Free Speech
Ettijah, an all-girl Palestinian hip-hop collective in the West Bank, uses music to talk about politics, social issues, women’s rights and what it’s like to live as refugee in occupied Palestine. Formed in 2013, Ettijah members Dalya Ramadan, Nadin Odeh and Diala Shaheen rap as a form of resistance and resilience—and now they hope their music will help empower the next generation of young girls to find their voice.
