Wealth inequality: How much is too much? (Allison Schrager and Gary Stevenson)

The richest 10% of people own 76% of all wealth in the world—and the poorest half just 2%. For some, this wealth gap is an indicator of a broken system; for others, it’s an incentive for competition. Economists Gary Stevenson and Allison Schrager joined Doha Debates on Twitter Spaces to debate and ask: When it comes to wealth inequality, how much is too much?

The conversation took place on Twitter Spaces on October 12, 2022, and was hosted by Maryam Moshiri.
