In 2025, Doha Debates hosted a town hall in Buenos Aires, Argentina, exploring the future of our cities. In partnership with Qatar’s Years of Culture, university students and recent graduates from Qatar, Chile and Argentina came together to engage with global thinkers on the urgent challenges facing urban life—challenges that grow more pressing as nearly 70% of the world’s population is projected to live in cities by 2050.
But their experience began long before stepping on stage. Weeks earlier, they embarked on an intensive, collaborative program designed to prepare them for the topic and distinctive style of a Doha Debates conversation. This video offers a glimpse of that journey.
