Rising inequality, high cost of living and environmental uncertainty are causing political instability and social upheaval around the world. Could taxing the world’s richest people be the solution?
This conversation examines what would happen if we increased taxation of the ultra-wealthy. Would it create greater economic stability and social equity? Or would it stifle economic growth and motivate corporations to relocate for lower taxes? Are taxes even an effective way to redistribute income and build a fairer society, or should we be looking toward other models?
