Kelsey Nielsen
Co-founder, No White Saviors
Kelsey Nielsen is a social worker and co-founder of the Ugandan nonprofit No White Saviors. Born and raised in a white evangelical family, she understands the inner workings of the white savior industrial complex on an intimate level because she has lived it. Her team at No White Saviors refers to Kelsey’s role on the team as the “white savior in recovery.” She has a bachelor’s and master’s in social work from Temple University in Philadelphia, and is driven by the responsibility to disrupt oppressive systems and replace them with a system of justice.
