Hossam Abo Shammallah is from Palestine and currently lives in the Gaza Strip. He is a graduate student in English literature at Al-Azhar University. In his free time, he loves working out at the gym, boxing and riding horses. Hossam is most proud of surviving until this moment; he hopes to use the memories he’s made to become a journalist and tell the world what is happening. Hossam is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because it’s a gateway to new opportunities and friends.
