About Rawaa Augé

Rawaa Augé is a programs presenter and a news anchor at Al Jazeera Media Network, and the host of Doha Debates’ Arabic-language podcast, Lana. She hosted and produced 70 episodes of Bekasreta, which aired in 2019 on AlJazeera Arabic TV and earned international awards for covering human rights stories and global issues via women’s voices. She has contributed to field coverage, breaking news and special coverages, especially for the Arabic channel. She has reported from to the Arabic and English channels as a holistic journalist, producing stories from Central Africa, Bosnia and Lebanon. She has conducted multiple events and seminars in English and Arabic, namely Doha Forum, WISH and others within the fields of education, human rights, technology, and digital media.

Rawaa was a fellow at Rosalynn Carter for Mental Health Journalism 2021-2022. She holds a Master’s degree in geopolitics and a Master’s degree in mass communication.
