Veronica Inés Yábar (Inés) is a change-maker and community builder, currently serving as lead of the UN Foundation Next Generation Fellows Program. She is from Peru and can often be found across the world advocating, learning and supporting sustainable solutions. Inés studied international project management for sustainable development, and in her free time, she loves to volunteer, go on adventures in nature and be creative. Inés is most proud of the young people who aren’t in the limelight but are a source of inspiration. She is grateful to have co-founded an NGO in France at age 19, and for opportunities to influence law-making with over 2,000 changemakers in Peru. Inés hopes to one day bike across a country and also use her global experience to help more grassroots projects thrive. She is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because there is too much winning and losing in the world, and this program encourages listening to reach common understandings. Being a part of the program is both a recognition of her journey and an encouragement to keep learning and listening. Inés hopes to learn more about how to have difficult conversations and hone her critical-thinking skills.
