Ahmed Alradi
Doha Debates Ambassador 2024
Ahmed Alradi is an academic, human rights advocate, debater and debate arbitrator from Sudan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in law with first-class honors from the University of Khartoum, and is a graduate of both the Young African Leaders Initiative and the Sudanese Young Leaders Program supported by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. Ahmed is a former fellow at the International Disability Alliance and is currently a researcher at the Sudanese Center for Legal Services. He has a strong interest in legal issues related to human rights during peace and conflict, with a specific focus on the rights of persons with disabilities. Ahmed is actively involved in debate and moot courts. He represented the University of Khartoum at the 6th International Universities Debating Championship in 2022 in Istanbul, and trained the team for the championship in Doha in 2024. He also participated in a moot court competition on international humanitarian law organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Beirut, where he was awarded Best Advocate. In his free time, he loves reading and staying updated on recent research studies. Ahmed is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because of the knowledge he hopes to gain and the program’s focus on constructive dialogue and open-mindedness. He hopes to build a valuable international network, engage with experienced trainers and facilitators and acquire skills related to openness and creating common ground for dialogue.
