Dr. Mohammad Fadel
Professor of Law, University of Toronto
Mohammad H. Fadel is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, which he joined in January 2006. He wrote his Ph.D. dissertation on legal process in medieval Islamic law while at the University of Chicago and received his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in 1988. Professor Fadel previously was an Associate in the corporate and securities practice in the New York office before transitioning to academia. His research areas include business corporations, economic analysis of law, Islamic law, and political philosophy and theory. He is the President Emeritus of NAML.
