Fen de Villiers
Fine art sculptor
Fen de Villiers grew up in Scotland, but found his sculptural calling in Antwerp, Belgium. After his education in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, he started his mission to reinvigorate sculpture to its most vital and energetic form. A Scottish fine art sculptor based in Antwerp, de Villiers uses traditional materials such as bronze and stone to create sculptures inspired by early modernist movements such as art deco and futurism. Growing up in the beautiful hills of Scotland and coming from a family of artists and sculptors, he has always been right in the very center of nature and the creative atmosphere. He takes inspiration from the vitalistic early Modernist movements and is always looking for archetypes of strength, dynamism and energy, seeking to create powerful sculptures that uplift the viewer’s spirit.
