Flint Dibble

Flint Dibble is an American archaeologist and science communicator, whose research focuses on foodways in ancient Greece and whose science communication promotes the field of archaeology and debunks pseudoarchaeology. He is a Marie-Skłodowska Curie research fellow in the School of History of Archaeology and Religion at Cardiff University. His current project, ZOOCRETE: The Zooarchaeology of Historical Crete: A Multiscalar Approach to Animals in Ancient Greece, combines archaeological, textual and biomolecular evidence for the human management and consumption of animals. Dibble has conducted extensive field work and laboratory analyses around the Mediterranean region. He gained widespread recognition for his 4.5-hour debate with pseudoarchaeology proponent Graham Hancock on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he defended mainstream archaeological methods against claims of lost ancient civilizations.
