About Jeremy Koons

Jeremy Koons, Professor of Philosophy at Georgetown University in Qatar, has published two dozen articles and book chapters on metaethics, epistemology, and philosophy of religion. Additionally, he has written, co-written, and co-edited five books (with two more on the way), including most recently The Ethics of Wilfrid Sellars (Routledge, 2019) and (co-edited with Kyle Ferguson) Wilfrid Sellars, The Metaphysics of Practice: Writings on Action, Community, and Obligation (OUP, 2023). He has taught at the American University of Beirut, Hong Kong University, and Stonehill College (Massachusetts). Over his career, he has taught dozens of courses ranging from Political and Social Thought and Just War Theory, to Philosophy of Religion and Philosophy of Sacrifice, to a course on happiness and the meaning of life.
