About Hamza Karamali

Shaykh Hamza Karamali is an Islamic scholar, theologian and educator who specializes in integrating traditional Islamic sciences with contemporary philosophy and science. He is the founder of Basira Education and produces the podcast and video series “Why Islam is True.” Karamali worked for three years at Kalam Research & Media, designing and participating in research projects integrating modern analytic philosophy and science with traditional Islamic theology and logic. He is the author of “The Madrasa Curriculum in Context” and is working on a forthcoming book presenting traditional Islamic logic in contemporary idiom. As a father of five, he has special interest in religious education for children and young adults, developing curricula that prepare them for independent lives in the modern world.
