Doha Debates Ambassador 2024

About Ìfẹ́olúwa Súnmọ́nú

Ìfẹ́olúwa Súnmọ́nú is a young Nigerian professional who currently works as a team member on the foreign funds transfer unit of a multinational finance organization. He holds a second-class upper (honors) bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria, where he focused on African philosophy, ethics and metaphysics. In his free time, he loves to see specifically themed movies and take shots at reading minds. Ìfẹ́olúwa is keenly interested in the actualization of goal 16 of the UN’s sustainable development goals (promoting just, peaceful and inclusive societies). He maintains that social media illiteracy is a grossly overlooked catalyst that fuels schisms, hate speech and remote anarchy across institutions. Ìfẹ́olúwa is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because the program allows him to be privy to a spectrum of perspectives with respect to contemporary global issues, and garner novel techniques to build bridges and cement consensus.
