About Keith Spencer

Keith Spencer is a critic and author from the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously senior editor at Salon, he has written for Jacobin, Dissent, Al Jazeera, The Washington Post and SFGate. Interviews with him have appeared in The Huffington Post, Truthout, Salon, SF Weekly and on CBC Radio. He writes broadly on culture, media and the tech industry, and published “A People’s History of Silicon Valley” in 2018. He is the host of an upcoming podcast, “Control Line,” coming out in 2026.
