About Khaled Beydoun

Khaled A. Beydoun is a professor of law at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and associate director of civil rights and social justice at the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University. He is a critical race theorist whose scholarship examines Islamophobia, the war on terror and the salience of race and racism in American law. Dr. Beydoun is the author of “American Islamophobia: Understanding the Roots and Rise of Fear” and “The New Crusades: Islamophobia and the Global War on Muslims.” As an active public intellectual, his commentary has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, Al Jazeera English, ESPN and CNN. Dr. Beydoun served on the US Commission for Civil Rights for three years and has been named one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims of the World. He has emerged as a leading voice on diversity, equity and inclusion, conducting trainings at Fortune 100 companies including Apple, Meta, Nike and Google.
