Laurie DeRose
Assistant professor of sociology, The Catholic University of America
Laurie DeRose is assistant professor of sociology at The Catholic University of America and senior fellow at the Institute for Family Studies, where she serves as director of research for their World Family Map project. DeRose’s early research on sub-Saharan African demography laid the foundation for her current focus on global family studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Brown University and has taught at the University of Maryland, Brown University and Georgetown University.
