Maysoon Zayid
Palestinian American comedian and activist
Maysoon Zayid is a comedian, writer and disability advocate. She was born in New Jersey to Palestinian immigrant parents and is a champion for equal access to education for children with disabilities worldwide. She co-founded the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival and is the author of the bestselling memoir Find Another Dream. In 2010, she realized her childhood dream of tap-dancing on Broadway. In 2019 she achieved another dream when she joined the cast of the TV show General Hospital. Maysoon’s TED Talk, “I got 99 problems…palsy is just one,” was the most-viewed talk of 2014. She has been named a 2021 – ’23 Princeton Arts Fellow.
