Saeed Khan
Associate professor of Near East & Asian studies, Wayne State University
Saeed A. Khan is associate professor of teaching in the departments of Near East & Asian Studies and Global Studies at Wayne State University, where he is also director of the Center for the Study of Citizenship. In addition, he is a founding member and a senior research fellow at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, a Washington-based think tank promoting the study and analysis of US social and domestic policy. Saeed is the host of “The Week That Was,” a weekly news-in-review podcast for Deadline Detroit, and an interviewer and editor for “Radio Reorient,” a UK-based podcast exploring the field of critical Muslim studies. He serves as a panelist, speaker and interviewer at the annual Bradford Literature Festival in Bradford, UK. His recent publications include his anthology “Global Studies: A Reader on Issues and Institutions” and the co-authored “What’s Going on Here? US Experiences of Islamophobia Between Obama and Trump” (with Saied R. Ameli).
