Salwa Al-Kuwari
Doha Debates Ambassador 2024
Salwa Al-Kuwari is a Qatari undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, studying computer science and working on a media and politics minor. In her free time, she loves solving programming puzzles, strength training and participating in outdoor activities. Salwa is most proud of taking a gold medal in the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) competition in Malaysia, and a silver medal in the National Student Research Fair in Qatar along with her research partner Fajer Al-Shamari. She hopes to leverage her STEM studies to advocate for and improve education in crisis-affected areas, ensuring brighter futures for vulnerable populations. Salwa is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because she looks forward to connecting with like-minded individuals and experts in the field, fostering collaborations that can harness the power of AI and alternative approaches to advance education in crisis-affected areas.
