About DNCSashreek Garg

Sashreek Garg is an Indian undergraduate student at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q), majoring in journalism, media and integrated marketing communications with a double minor in strategic communications and media and politics. In his free time, he enjoys playing the violin, peep-sight target shooting and painting. Sashreek is a global undergraduate fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Global South at NU-Q. He is proud to have been the youngest member to present his research at the Middle East Studies Association for two consecutive years. Sashreek plans to pursue a career in public affairs, international law, and diplomacy. He is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because he hopes to expand his knowledge and understanding of global issues by engaging with diverse perspectives and exploring complex global challenges. He is eager to learn from experts and fellow ambassadors to broaden his horizons and develop a deeper understanding of the world around him. Sashreek also hopes to develop his skills as a communicator and change-maker. He believes that the program will equip him with the skills to engage in constructive dialogue, bridge divides and promote positive social change.
