Tony Karon
Editorial lead, AJ+
Tony Karon is the editorial lead of Al Jazeera’s AJ+ and a former senior editor at Time magazine, and was an activist in the anti-apartheid liberation movement in his native South Africa. He has more than 25 years of experience in news-related print and online media, particularly focused on covering international affairs, conflicts and cultural and political issues. Karon teaches in the graduate program in international affairs at the New School in New York.
