About Valeriia Chernysh

Valeriia Chernysh is the Impact Fellow for the Salzburg Global Center for Education Transformation and a program associate for the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change 2023. Currently based in Salzburg, Austria, Valeriia is originally from Ukraine. She studied Slavic (Polish and Ukrainian) languages and literature in translation at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In her free time, she loves hiking, camping, handcrafting and reading. Valeriia is proudest of being a vice president of outgoing professional internships for the nonprofit organization AIESEC in Kyiv, running a department of 25 people. She is excited to be a Doha Debates ambassador because in a world marked by constant polarization, she aspires to assist people in actively listening to each other and collaboratively seeking solutions to prevailing issues—a commitment deeply aligned with her ongoing work.
